What an Artist Wants to Teach You, With a Full Understanding That You Do Not Have to Learn Anything.
As you read and take in these words, dissect them and try to understand what they are saying. There is nothing special about this article. The only thing that makes it “special” is that it serves a purpose. It is the best possible purpose any article could ever have. That purpose is not to change you into something you are not, or make you believe something that you don’t believe. The words you are reading serve the exact same purpose as any words you have ever read in your life. These words are going to help you to help yourself understand something. In order to understand something, I need to tell you everything that you already know.
Over the past week, a new solution has cleared its way through my head—- do not think alone; think together. Integrate your own thoughts with the thoughts of someone else’s, and let them have an impact on you, no matter how much you may disagree with that impact. The aspect of thinking together is something many people know, but do not understand. If you do not understand this concept, please try to focus your mind on the meanings of my words instead of the words themselves. See the big picture, look at everything, don’t look too closely. If you ask all the questions, and try to get all of the answers at one time, this is what you will come to—- everything connects to everything. Life is simply a paradox. It doesn’t make sense, yet, makes sense all at once. People should try to see everything at once, but the real truth is, this is impossible. No person in the world can think about everything at once.
If you are really focused on the words you are reading, I would like to clarify my motivation for writing them. At this moment in time, you are reading my article, and therefore you must unify yourself with me. Understand who I am in order to find out who you are. Not once will I mention how great I am, how I am better than you, or anything along those lines. If I tried to do that, I would be lying. Instead of telling you I am great, I am going to do the opposite. I am going to point out my flaws.
Much like everyone else in the world, many people throughout my life have pointed out my flaws. People have told me I’m stupid. People have told me I’m psychotic. Funny thing is, none of these things are true at all, and still they are very true at the same time. Reality is not what I am thinking; reality is what PEOPLE are thinking. If you truly believe something with all of your heart and soul, it will become real. The only reason I was ever stupid or insane was because I was letting myself perceive realities in the wrong way. I was what I truly and honestly believed I was—- stupid and insane.
Through the realities of all of the people around me, I have discovered my reality. My reality is not your reality, and it does not have to be, but this is what is real to me. I want you to accept it.
I am an artist.
There is a simple reason that I am an artist. I have now found out what that simple reason is; I care too much. No matter who you are in the world, if you want to be happy and do good things, you deserve to have that. Everyone has a voice, and everyone deserves to use it.
To teach yourself to be happy, you need to ask yourself questions. As an artist, I only want to do what I know how to do best, which is teach people how to see beauty in flaws, but how is this possible? If something or someone brings up a negative emotion inside you, how do you change it? What makes something beautiful? To see the beauty in flaws, you much accept that there are flaws in this world. You cannot experience life without knowing the obstacles. The main obstacle that everyone should achieve is a balance.
There is not a single person in this world who will never experience pain in their lives. No matter how much someone hurts you, you have to remember; they are human too. I think it would be a wise decision for everyone to build this idea into their heads—- the beauty of pain.
Every person in the world has emotions, and we are all addicted to them. No one wants to experience sadness, because sadness hurts. Joy feels beautiful because you have witnessed beauty. Find beauty in things by accepting them for what they are. Yes, pain is powerful, and it can take over you. Smart people can be manipulative because they know this already. Feelings are an addiction, but it’s that addiction that makes us who we are. People learn things from pain.
What a good artist has that other people want to have is a way to turn pain into beauty. Art is a way for one to observe experiences through the artist’s eyes, no matter what that experience may be. An experience is something that should be shared with everyone. Without experiencing something, we do not gain knowledge, and we do not feel emotion. We cannot fulfill our lives without the ability to feel.
Viewing art is the witnessing of someone else’s reality in a non-harmful way. It allows us to see the beauty in human emotions, no matter what they may be. I think it has an impact that can help guide people into who they really are. Art can communicate in ways that nothing else can, and the power of communication means everything. Communicate your experiences so others can feel what you feel.
I do not ask you to be an artist, because one has the power and the right to choose not to be an artist. What I hope is that maybe my words have helped you understand my reality, and through understanding my reality, maybe you can take a part of me with you. Do not try to be anything you are not, but feel the power of art, and try to look at it through my eyes.
Art is beautiful, I am beautiful, and this is me. I am no longer going to see myself as who I was in the past, but who I want to be in the future. I am Amanda Paul. I want to teach every single person I encounter to be happy, and I want to be the best damn artist this world has ever seen.
